Radio AvA
Radio Ava is a radio station for sex workers by sex workers they broadcast all sorts of shows, from educational talks about important things affecting sex workers, talks about safety, venting about clients, and celebrating other sex workers. Its a great show and you can catch up on older episodes on Soundcloud. The team at SxW love it and have been catching up on all the episodes.
X:Talk
x:talk project is a sex worker-led co-operative teaching language to sex workers giving them the fundamental tools to communicate so they can work in safer conditions, and organize and socialize with other sex workers.
They also have a weekly breakfast social in London, where sex workers of all genders can meet, socialize, swap, chat and have support from each other.
Release
Release have created some well written guides, this one is about Sex Work and the law. In their handy PDF guide they explain in simple terms about how the law can effect you as a sex worker and how to stay on the right side of it.
Beyond the Streets
Beyond the Streets works with women involved in the UK sex industry, to see women safe from coercion, violence and abuse. They work with women to challenge the stigma that surrounds the sale of sex, to eliminate “survival sex” and more broadly to end violence against women and girls.
SWARM Collective
SWARM is a collective founded and led by sex workers who believe in self-determination, solidarity and co-operation. They campaign for the rights and safety of everyone who sells sexual services. They work with sex workers to organise skill-shares and support meet-ups just for sex workers, as well as public events. UK based collective and part of the global sex worker led movement advocating the full decriminalisation of sex work.
Streetlight UK
Streetlight promotes an understanding of the issues surrounding sexual exploitation within the wider community and works with women who want to exit sex professions where they wish to do so.
English Collective of Prostitutes
The English Collective of Prostitutes (ECP) is a grassroots organisation of sex workers and supporters campaigning for the decriminalisation of prostitution, for sex workers’ rights and safety, and for resources to enable people to get out of prostitution if they want to. Their network includes sex workers working on the street and in premises.
National Ugly Mugs
NUM is a UK-wide charity working with sex workers to do research, design and deliver safety tools and to provide support services to people in adult industries. Working hard to end all forms of violence against sex workers.
